A multiplayer painting game for PC with persistent worlds!

  • Built in Unity using Network for Game Objects (NGO). This project is designed to solve many of the issues I had making the VR Chat world Graffiti Walls!

    3D Overlay


    2021

    This is my 3D livestream overlay that I use on my art streams!

    It's built in Unity and uses OBS's Game Capture source to remove the transparent background. This allows perfect transparency without using color-keying, and even allows semi-transparency.

    I made all of the models and textures for this project in Blender and Clip Studio Paint.

    I also wrote a custom C# library to connect with Clip Studio Paint to get the current tool and color. This data affects the color and tool shown in the overlay!

    Sinister Squeakers from Outer Space


    2023

    An arcade style shooter game made for "Mini-Jam 130"! The theme was "Luna" and the limitation was "10 seconds". In our game the moon is made of cheese and every 10 seconds you are attacked by alien mice!

    This project was made in Unity and was a collaboration with Ivanmzart!

    I did the programming, SFX, and music. Ivanmz made the models, textures, animations, and logo!

    Color Beluga

    A simple accessibility app for color deficient artists to check the color under the mouse cursor at all times!

    Color Beluga shows the RGB values, and the name in artistic terms or simple english.

    Built in WPF using C#.

    Factory Factory


    2023

    Factory Factory was a TV show about a chaotic, interactive, AI generated factory! It took requests from Twitch chat to generate new content in realtime using ChatGPT and Unity.

    The project streamed live on Twitch. It has now shutdown, but the source is available on GitHub.

    Graffiti Walls


    2022

    Graffiti Walls is a community driven VRChat world that provides the best spray-painting experience in VRChat!

    This project was a collaboration with my friends HyperVirtualExtreme and Ivanmz! I did Udon programming, 3D modeling, sound design, and project management.

    We sometimes host a "synced instance" where it is possible to see the artwork that has been painted before you joined the world!

    NASB Moveset Editor

    A graphical moveset editor for Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl.

    This project allowed the community to view, edit, and export custom movesets for characters in NASB! Built with C# as a custom Unity Editor window, it runs in the Unity Editor.

    NASB Custom Music Mod

    My most popular mod for Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl. This mod allows anyone to load custom music into each stage in the game!

    This mod was designed to be easy to use, and includes thorough documentation. Built as a BepInEx plugin using C#.

    The Beat Cop

    THE BEAT COP (TBC) is a free drum machine made inspired by Teenage Engineering Pocket Operator (PO-12)!

    The project was built in Pure Data Vanilla, and is fully customizable! It features 16 customizable samples, 16 patterns, 15 different effects, and much more!

    A cute ChipTune inspired song I made while experimenting with the 3/4 time signature.

    My friend Ivanmz made an incredible animation to go along with it!

    This song was created as background music for a short prototype Unity game.
    I took heavy inspiraction from breakcore artists like Glitchtrode and Machine Girl.

    The prototype was never released, but it served as a good challenge and reminder of how much music can influence the style of a project.

    About Me

    Hi. I'm megalon.

    I have 10+ years of programming experience, including 5 years using C# in Unity. In this time I created complex mods for 3 different Unity games: Beat Saber, Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl, and Ooblets. I have also released 2 small Unity projects of my own.

    In 2018 I created the Beat Saber Modding Group, a Discord server with 200,000+ members dedicated to modding the VR game Beat Saber. I have collaborated on multiple programming projects through GitHub with other members of the community, including maintaining the Beat Saber mod manager Mod Assistant with 3 million+ downloads.

    As you can see from this website, I have a lot of interests. Programming, 3D modeling, digital painting, and music production are all things that I have a passion for. I believe all of these contribute to my skills in Game Development.
